Gerald Matthew Clemons, age 35, of Madisonville, entered into his eternal rest at 6:37 p.m. Monday November 19, 2018 at Baptist Health in Madisonville.  Born March 4, 1983 in Madisonville, he was the son of Grant M. Clemons Jr. and Shirley Mae Hobgood Clemons.   He was employed as a custodian at the Commonwealth of Kentucky Madisonville State Office Building.  He attended Madisonville North Hopkins High School.  Gerald loved his music, attending concerts, playing games, and traveling.  He loved all sports and was an avid football and basketball fan.  He was preceded in death by one sister, Brittany Nicole Clemons.  He leaves behind to cherish loving memories his parents of Madisonville; one brother Gregory Maurice (Melissa) Clemons of High Point,NC.; one uncle, Donald Hobgood of Madisonville; two aunts, Nancy Hobgood Murphy of Madisonville and Darlene Hobgood Warren of Portsmouth,VA.; one nephew, Royce Shauntez Scisney of Madisonville; and a host of cousins and friends.  Memorial services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday November 27, 2018 at Elliott Mortuary in Madisonville. The Rev. Robert L. Cottoner will officiate.  Visitation will be after 12:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.  Elliott Mortuary in Madisonville is in charge of the arrangements.
