Ike Carlene Langley

May 17, 1930 ~ December 29, 2019 (age 89) 89 Years Old

Ike Carlene Langley, age 89, of Nortonville, entered into his eternal rest at 2:43 p.m. Sunday December 29, 2019 at Baptist Health in Madisonville.  Born May 17, 1930 in Richland,Ky., he was the son of the late Henry Carlene Langley and Hattie Merritt Langley.  He attended Flower Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Madisonville, retired from Madisonville Paving Company where he worked for many years as a loader/laborer, and was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran.  He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Madisonville, enjoyed fishing, and watching baseball games.  He also was preceded in death by his wife Anna Sams Langley; stepson, Chester Cork Jr. and stepdaughter, Beathiana Cork;  He leaves behind to cherish loving memories one son, Michael Langley of Nortonville; one brother, Charles Langley of Louisville; one sister, Goldie Green of Hopkinsville; a host of other relatives; and his good friend, Raymond Putman and neighbors on Bass Hill Road in Nortonville.  Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm  Friday January 10, 2020 at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville.  The Rev. M.L. Quarles will officiate.  Interment will follow in the Columbarium Walls with military honors by the  101st Airborne Division of Fort Campbell and Pennyrile Honor Guard of Hopkinsville.  Elliott Mortuary in Madisonville is in charge of the arrangements.
