Lee Altheon (Scisney) Rorer

      Lee Altheon Scisney Rorer, age 76, of Madisonville entered eternal rest at 9:09 p.m. Thursday August 30, 2018 at her home.  Born September 4, 1941 in Madisonville, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Clara Adams Scisney.  She was a member of the Branch Street Church of God in Christ in Madisonville where she served faithfully on the Mothers Board, was a Sunday School teacher, Purity and Sunshine Band class teacher, prayer warrior, and a member of the choir in her earlier years.  She also was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Herman  Edward Rorer in 2006; one son, Dale Edward Rorer in 1998; one brother, Nathaniel Scisney; and two sisters,  Margaret Tramill and Classie Mae Hopson.  She leaves behind to cherish loving memories one son, Mark Dewayne ( Camille) Rorer of Cumming, Georgia; five brothers; Elder Clarence (Mary) Scisney of Hanson, Harold Scisney of Carmel, Indiana, Forrest (Ruby) Scisney of Las Vegas, Nevada, Frank (Fredia) Scisney of Madisonville, and James (Kerri) Scisney of Madisonville; two sisters, Vivian (Terry) Snorton of Madisonville and Shirley Wooldridge of Earlington; one daughter-in-law, Twayna Rorer of Madisonville; 6 grandchildren, Troy Dale Rorer, Micah (Tara) Rorer, William Rorer, Jackson Rorer, Claire Rorer, and Emery Rorer; 4 great-grandchildren; 1 special nephew, Percy Hunter of Madisonville; and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.  Her life will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m.  Sunday September 2, 2018 at Branch Street Church of God in Christ.  The Elder Kenneth Walker will officiate.  Burial will be in Westside Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville.  Visitation and wake services will be from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. Sunday Sept. 2, 2018 at the church.
