Rosevelt Ellis Jr., age 54, of Madisonville and formerly of Starkville,MS., entered into his eternal rest at 12:47 p.m. Wednesday April 17, 2019 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Evansville,IN.  Born July 9, 1964 in Starkville, he was the son of Annie Pearl Hubbard Ellis and the late Rosevelt Ellis Sr.  He was a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Starkville and attended Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Madisonville.  He was a self-employed carpenter and painter.  His passion was working on flooring.  He loved to dress and dance, and was always the life of the party.  He leaves behind to cherish loving memories his mother Annie Pearl Hubbard Ellis of Starkville; two sons, Antione Doss of Clarksville,TN. and Montez Ellis of Starkville; two daughters, Candis Doss of Clarksville and Deidre "Stephanie" Allen of Cleveland,OH. and one step-daughter, Crystal Doss of Madisonville; four brothers, Derrick Brownlee, Levester Ellis, Kevin Brownlee, and Calvin Hubbard all of Starkville; five sisters, Mary Jones, Mattie Gandy, Annie Louise Williams, Canary Ellis, and Jennifer Ellis all of Starkville; one special friend, Barbara Jackson of Madisonville; several aunts and uncles; 13 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  A Celebration of his Life will be held through the West Memorial Funeral Home located at 103 Jefferson Street Starkville,MS. 39759.  The will be no local funeral services held.  Elliott Mortuary in Madisonville was in charge of the local arrangements.  Share condolences at www.elliottmortuarycares.com.
