Carl Eugene Winters, age 62, of Madisonville, passed away peacefully at 3:49 p.m. Sunday July 2, 2023 at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville.
Born October 2, 1960, a native of Madisonville, he was the son to the late Homer Eugene Winters and Mary Lou Hendricks Winters.
He was a member of The Sanctuary Church in Nortonville where he served faithfully as a Deacon and Youth Leader.
He retired from Peabody Coal Company after 30 years as a coal miner, loved hunting and fishing, loved riding his Harley- Davidson mortorcycle, loved driving around in his car, and loved his children and grandchildren. He was a great father and grandfather. He attended West Hopkins High School.
He also was preceded in death by a sister Lisa Cotton.
He leaves behind to cherish his loving memories his daughters Kassi (Crystal) Winters of Madisonville and Samantha (Joshua) Adamson of Graham; a brother Anthony (Angie) Winters of Hopkins County; sisters Mary Ann (Freddie) Smith of St. Charles and Erica Franklin of Dawson Springs; grandchildren Riley Taylor, Reese Adamson, Hayden Schouweiler, and Landen Schouweiler; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
There will be no funeral services.
His ashes will be scattered at a later date.
