Carol Jean Brown

Carol Jean Brown, age 67, of Madisonville, entered into her eternal rest at 1:37 p.m. Wednesday April 21, 2021 at Baptist Health Madisonville.  Born February 11, 1954 in Decatur,Illinois  she was the daughter of the late Al Atchason and Leona Wilmore Atchason.  She was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church in Fairfield,Illinois and was a homemaker.  She had worked in sales with Coca-Cola Bottling Company.  She loved cooking and her animals.  She also was preceded in death by a brother Terry Atchason.  She leaves behind to cherish her loving memories two sons Terry Gaines of Madisonville and Shawn (Linda) Atchason of Dallas,Texas; two sisters Diane (Gary) Warnick and Debbie (Jim) Smith both of Mount Vernon,Illinois; 6 nieces and nephews; and a host of cousins and friends.  There will be no funeral services.  Elliott Mortuary in Madisonville is in charge of her arrangements and where you can go to share condolences at www.elliottmortuarycares.com.
