Cherylene Smalls Obituary

Cherylene Bell Smalls, 61, of Hopkinsville, formerly of Madisonville, passed away peacefully at 2:03 p.m. Wednesday April 17, 2024 at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville with her loving family by her side. 

A native of Madisonville, she was born to the late George Harrison Mackey and Genivie "Jennie B" Bell on March 12, 1963. 

She was baptized at an early age at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Madisonville. 

Her faith was strong and she believed in God.  She survived a fire in 2021 and was severely burned but God pulled her through for her work on earth wasn't finished.  She had a lively personality and was the life in her social interactions. She was a factory worker with Stone Plastics in Cadiz and Grupo in Hopkinsville, was a member of the CB Motorcycle Club in Clarksville, and attended Madisonville North Hopkins High School.  She loved fishing, cooking, and working with her plants. 

Her favorite saying was (Love You High As The Sky And 3 Times As Wide) which she would always say.

Most of all she loved being with her family and many friends.

In addition to her parents, she also was preceded in death by a sister Barbara Jean Green. 

She leaves behind to cherish her loving memories her son Emmanuel Bell of Madisonville; her daughters Carmon Bell McDaniel and Carlina Temple both of Clarksville,Tennessee; her brothers William Bides and Benjamin Isabell both of Madisonville; her sister Sharon (Lewis) Russell of Clarksville; three grandchildren Kya Bell, Kamryn Bell, and Jaidyn Williams all of Clarksville; one great-grandchild Kaylanni Bell of Clarksville; two aunts and two uncles; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. 

Her life will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday April 24, 2024 at Temple of Praise located at 299 Aubrey Prow Lane in Madisonville, Kentucky. 

The Reverend Tia Roach will eulogize. 

Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Earlington, Kentucky where a (Dove Release) will take place in honor of her memory.

Visitation and wake services will be from 11:00 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the church.
