Daphne Gayle Melton Wagoner, 61, of Madisonville, passed away peacefully at 7:57 a.m. Sunday June 2, 2024 at her home with her family by her side.
A native of Madisonville, she was born to the late Warren Melton and Loretta "Gladys" Brown Melton on January 20, 1963.
She was a Christian and a homemaker. She loved fishing, watching television game shows, watching classic television shows and western movies, loved talking on the telephone with her sisters Tracy and Teresa on three-way calls daily, and attended West Hopkins High School.
Most of all she loved her son Garrick Wagoner more than anything in the world.
In addition to her parents she also was preceded in death by her husband the late Lawrence Wagoner on January 12, 2024; and one brother the late Randy Melton.
She leaves behind to cherish her loving memories one son Garrick Scott Wagoner of Madisonville; one brother Michael (Deneise) Melton of Madisonville; two sisters Teresa (Robert Parker) Law of Princeton, Kentucky and Tracy Melton of Madisonville; her loving dog Marina; nieces and nephews and their children Kasie (Hayley Wilson) Thomas, Cheryl (Kevin) Sanders, Ericka, Mackenzie and Brayden, Lori and Ja'lah Melton and Ja'den Wilford; Michael Melton and Haleigh, Emmett Law, Jamie (Samantha) Melton, Jersey and Jaxton, Melissa (Sam) Thomas, Alana Humphreys and David Taborn; and a host of cousins and friends.
Daphne's life will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. Friday June 7, 2024 at Elliott-Bowles Mortuary Chapel.
The Reverend Adam Bridgman will officiate.
Burial will be in New Beulah Cemetery in Beulah, Kentucky.
Her visitation and wake services will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time Friday at Elliott-Bowles Mortuary Chapel.
Elliott-Bowles Mortuary in Madisonville is in charge of her professional services and arrangements.
