Evangelist Bonita Maria Pitt

Evangelist Bonita Maria Pitt, 76, of Oak Creek, Wisconsin, formerly of Evansville, Indiana, passed away peacefully at 6:49 a.m. on Saturday June 13, 2026 at Medical Suites at Oak Creek of Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, with her family by her bedside.  

A native of Evansville, Bonita Maria Pitt was born January 28, 1950, to Elder Jesse Charles Henry Pitt and Clara Elizabeth Pitt, who preceded her in death. 

She was one of 20 siblings.  Bonita graduated from Central High School in Evansville.  

At an early age, she gave her life to Christ and was called into ministry, traveling extensively under a unique anointing for deliverance and healing.  She had a love for people and went above and beyond to help all who were in need.

Also preceding her in death are siblings, George Pitt, Jesse Pitt, Norman Pitt, Sadie Barker, Celestia Clements, Velma Alexander, Felicia Simmons, Alvin Pitt, Sydney Pitt, Ruby Marshall, Clarice and Clarissa Williams.   

She leaves behind two godchildren, Gwen Presley of Henderson, Kentucky and Carmela Crawford of Springfield, Illinois.  Bonita also leaves behind seven siblings; Glenn (Nancy) Pitt of Detroit, Michigan, Oberia Pitt Campbell of Nashville, Tennessee, Verla Jones of Racine, Wisconsin, Dwight (Dot) Pitt of Richmond, Texas, Michael Emmanuel, of California, Sharis Pitt of Evansville, Indiana, Sherman (Cindy) Pitt of Fort Worth, Texas, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and those whom she worked closely with in ministry. 

On Friday 26, 2026, her life will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. at Bread of Life Kingdom Ministries in Evansville, with Apostle Levon Dozier of R.O.C.K. Global Outreach Ministries as officiant.

The Apostle William Wayne Simmons Sr. will be eulogist.  

Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Evansville.  

The visitation and wake services will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.
