Glennis "Glenn" Howard Martin, age 57, of Madisonville, formerly of Gulfport,Mississippi, entered into his eternal rest at 9:36 a.m. Friday April 16, 2021 at Baptist Health Madisonville. Born December 27, 1963 in Moss Point,Mississippi, he was the son of Willie Howard Martin and the late Ollie Mae Cannon Martin. He attended St. John Baptist Church in Gulfport where he was a member of the choir, Long Beach Community Church in Long Beach,Mississippi where he was a member of the Praise Team, and taught Sunday School and was involved with the Youth Group in Providence,Ky. He had worked for Brewer Fence Company in Gulfport, Merchant's Bank in Gulfport as a mailroom clerk, and Gulf Coast Medical Center in Biloxi,Mississippi where he was in charge of all medical equipment and supplies and received employee of the month twice and employee of the year; and was involved with Western Kentucky Teen Challenge in Madisonville. He was a graduate of Gulf Coast Medical School where he obtained his central supply technician certification and was a 1982 graduate of Gulfport High School. He was a registered organ donor and loved bowling, fishing, and golfing. He also was preceded in death by a brother Verdel Martin. He leaves behind to cherish his loving memories aforementioned his father Willie Howard Martin and second mother Clara Martin both of Gulfport; two brothers Christopher (Tara) Martin of Biloxi and Kenneth Martin of Biloxi; several aunts and uncles; three nieces and three nephews; and a host of beautiful relatives and friends. Memorial services will be at 12 Noon Thursday April 22 at Elliott Mortuary Chapel. The Revered LaBarron F. McAdoo, Jr. will eulogize. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home. Masks are required upon entry.
