Gloria Mae (Bard) Brewer

Gloria Mae Bard Brewer, age 74, of Madisonville, formerly of Greenville,Ky. entered into her eternal rest at 7:31 p.m. Monday May 17, 2021 at her home.  Born October 11, 1946 in Greenville, she was the firstborn of Elder John West Bard and Rosie Mae Drake Bard.  She attended Westside Community Church in Madisonville under the pastorage of Pastor Tommy Hayes.  She had worked as a volunteer with St. Vincent de Paul Store in Madisonville and the Christian Food Bank of Hopkins County; and with Enroe Shirt Factory.  She was a member of the American Legion of Hopkins County, attended Greenville High School, and was a avid singer in which she loved singing old gospel songs.  She was preceded in death by her father Elder John West Bard; her husband Ferrell Brewer; and a brother John Alexander Bard.  She leaves behind to cherish her loving memories her mother Rosie Mae Bard of Greenville; five brothers Charles Bard of Greenville, Donald Bard of Greenville, Minister Cecil (Rachel) Bard of Henderson, Minister Kelly (Sandra) Bard of Henderson, and Nevin Bard of Madisonville; three sisters Erma Bard of Cadiz,Ky., Oneta Bard of Greenville, and Beverly Gail Bard of Bowling Green,Ky.; a sister-in-law Sally Ann Bard of Greenville; several aunts and uncles; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.  Her life will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. Saturday May 22 at Westside Community Church 325 West Arch Street in Madisonville.  Pastor Tommy Hayes will officiate.  Burial will be in Elliott Memorial Gardens in Madisonville.  Visitation and wake services will be from 11:00 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.  Masks are required upon entry.  Elliott Mortuary in Madisonville is in charge of her arrangements and where you can go to share your condolences at www.elliottmortuarycares.com.
