Lawanna Davette Woolfolk Fellows, 62, of Evansville, Indiana, formerly of Cairo, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at 5:10 a.m. Wednesday February 11, 2026 at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville with her family by her bedside.
A native of Cairo, she was born to the late David Woolfolk and Lottie Mosby Woolfolk on February 28, 1963.
She was a member of Corydon Church of God in Christ in Corydon, Kentucky where she was a member of the choir and served in the culinary department.
She had worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant with Columbia Nursing Plaza in Evansville, was a 1981 graduate of Henderson County Senior High School where she played in the Band and sang in the Chorus, was a Unicorn collector, loved cooking and baking, and doing crafting work.
She also enjoyed working on the family farm in Cairo and with her father in the Woolfolk family business Woolfolk's Bar-be-que of Cairo, Kentucky.
Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her husband, daughter, grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will dearly miss her.
In addition to her parents, she also was preceded in death by four sisters, Cherie Renee Woolfolk, Nicole Woolfolk, Danielle Woolfolk, and Christy Woolfolk.
She leaves behind to cherish her loving memories her husband of 21 years, Ronnie Lee Fellows of Evansville; her daughter, Lameshia (Marshun) Dennie of Evansville; two brothers, David Woolfolk Jr. of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Rick (Keri) Woolfolk of Macon, Georgia; two sisters, Michelle (William) Fortune of Evansville and Sheila Davis of Evansville; five grandchildren, Najah Mitchell, Leonna Mitchell, Niobi Mitchell, Stephen Mitchell, and Lenyia Mitchell; six great-grandchildren, Ken'Marina Bailey, Ahmadus Stott, Achia Bailey, Theori Longway, Furious Stott Jr., and Zah'Nyla Mitchell; one special niece, Heaven Davette Woolfolk and one special aunt, Ella Woolfolk; additional nieces and nephews including Diasha Dixon, Nykara Dixon, Kori Heard, He'kema Woolfolk, Diallo Dixon, Maleek Woolfolk, Malachi Woolfolk, Kassidy Woolfolk, Kennedy Woolfolk, Le'Ana Watson, Anthony DeShazer, and Jermaine Woolfolk; great-nieces and nephews, additional aunts and uncles; cousins, and friends.
On Friday February 20th, the life of Lawanna Woolfolk Fellows will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. at Memorial Baptist Church in Evansville.
The Reverend and Dr. Adrian M. Brooks Sr. will be eulogist.
Entombment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery Mausoleum in Evansville.
Lawanna's visitation and wake services will be from 12:00 p.m. until the funeral service time Friday at Memorial Baptist Church where family and friends will gather.
