Maishara Eshe Scisney-Givens, age 25, of Madisonville, entered into her eternal rest at 11:47 a.m. Monday May 10, 2021 at Baptist Health Madisonville. Born June 15, 1995 in Lexington,Kentucky she was the daughter of Daundra Scisney Logan and Everett Givens. She was a member of Word of Faith Christian Center in Madisonville where she served faithfully as a youth leader, worked in the hospitality department, and was a member of the pastor's aide committee. She was employed with Caris Counseling in Madisonville as an office manager, a recent graduate of Madisonville Community College with a degree in business management and where she received a certificate in grant writing, attended Morehead State University where she sang in the gospel ensemble, had recently been admitted to Brescia University in Owensboro, and a graduate of Dixie Heights High School in Erlanger,Kentucky. She loved helping with the women at Caris Center, loved helping people in general, and considered herself a servant to all. She loved writing (wrote several short stories and poems), drawing, painting, and cooking. She was preceded in death by one grandparent Janet Clayborne. She leaves behind to cherish her loving memories her parents Daundra Scisney (LyDon) Logan of Madisonville and Everett (Tayna) Givens of Erlanger; grandparents Elder Clarence (Mary) Scisney of Madisonville and Everett Martin of Lexington; a brother Elijah Givens of Erlanger; four sisters Charrion Shivley of Louisville, Tonya Wilson of Morganfield, Kennedy Logan of Frankfort, and Talya Givens of Erlanger; two nieces Zion Mitchell and Caylee Hines both of Louisville; two nephews Cayden Hines of Louisville and Kyce Jones of Morganfield; several aunts and uncles; many great-aunts and uncles, a host of cousins and friends, and a special friend Travon Alexander of Lexington. Her life will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. Monday May 17, 2021 at Victory Church 615 Brown Road in Madisonville and where her college degree will be presented during the celebration service. Elder Marvin Hightower will officiate. Burial will be in Browder Cemetery in Hopkins County with a balloon release graveside. Visitation and wake services will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time Monday at the church. Masks are required upon entry.
