Sandra Marie Bradford Burton, 69, of Henderson, formerly of Goodwater, Alabama, passed away peacefully at 8:11 p.m. Friday August 1, 2025 at Lucy Smith King Care Center of St. Anthony's Hospice in Henderson with her family by her bedside.
A native of Goodwater, Alabama, she was born to the late John Booker T. Bradford and Geneva Whestone Bradford on July 11, 1956.
She was a former member of Marietta Missionary Baptist Church in Goodwater, formerly employed with Walmart in Henderson as a people greeter and had worked at Grandy's Restaurant in Henderson, and was a homemaker.
She was a kind, loving, and caring mother who loved her family dearly. She was blessed with a loving and giving spirit, for there was nothing she wouldn't do for anyone. She loved to cook and was known for her fried chicken, which everyone would enjoy. She also loved sewing, and pressing hair, for she was a beautician.
Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and her grandchildren were her heart, of which all will miss her dearly.
In addition to her parents, she also was preceded in death by one brother, JB Bradford, one sister, Jeanette Critchlow, and one grandchild, Darian Lee Burton.
She leaves behind to cherish her loving memories, her husband, Larry Burton of Evansville, Indiana; two sons, Larry Laddaron Burton II of Evansville and Deon Burton of Evansville; two daughters, Towey Latrise Burton of Henderson and Aaliyah Michelle Burton of Columbus, Ohio; three brothers, Larry (Brenda) Bradford of Clarksville, Tennessee, Franklin Bradford of Harvest, Alabama, and BJ (Ann) Bradford of Augusta, Georgia; four sisters, Ludella Bunn of Daytona Beach, Florida, Renelle Hill of Goodwater, Alabama, Irene (Phillip) McGee of Goodwater, and Beverly Bradford of Goodwater; five grandchildren, Ka'Marion Black, Sarai McGraw, Charli Mundell, Dristan Burton, and Amiri Burton; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Her life will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. Saturday August 9, 2025 at Seventh Street Missionary Baptist Church in Henderson.
The Reverend Dr. Adrian M. Brooks Sr. (Pastor of Memorial Baptist Church in Evansville) will eulogize.
Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery in Henderson.
Visitation and wake services will be from 11:00 a.m. until service time Saturday morning at the church.
