Tammi Marie Griffin Terry, age 62, of Northport, Alabama, formerly of Madisonville, passed away peacefully Sunday January 2, 2022 at her home after an extended illness.
Born October 31, 1959 a native of Providence, she was the daughter to Leaman Griffin and Catherine Manuel. She was a retired factory worker who loved spending time with her family and taking care of her pets (Tobie) and (Mikee). She attended West Hopkins High School where she was a cheerleader. She was kind to all, compassionate, loving, and spiritual.
She was preceded in death by her father-in-law B.L. Manuel Sr. and mother-in-law Barbara Bowles, and sisters-in-law Lassie Bowles and Veronica Bowles.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 28 years Norman L. Terry Sr. of Northport; her parents Leaman (Joyce) Griffin of Providence and Catherine Manuel of Swansea, South Carolina; sons David (Laurel) Hill of Norfolk, Virginia and Travis Hill of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; a daughter Jennifer (Josh) Campbell of Corydon; stepchildren Tracy Holt of Evansville,IN., Govanna Cissna of Henderson, Norman L. Terry Jr. of Madisonville, Brandon Terry of Virginia Beach, VA., and Amanda Terry of Jeffersonville,IN.; brothers Leaman Griffin Jr. of Spartanburg, SC., Mark Griffin of Providence, Bill Griffin of Madisonville, Daniel Griffin of Hopkinsville, Layman Griffin of Nebo, and B.L. Manuel Jr.; sisters Di Ann Spurck of West Columbia, SC., Lynn Rucker, and Bethany Rawls; brothers-in-law Harry Bowles Jr. of Henderson, Philemon Bowles of Rome, GA., Peter Bowles of Madisonville, James Bowles of Madisonville, John Bowles of San Antonio, TX., Jerome Bowles of Covington, and Virgle Bowles of Madisonville; 7 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friend
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday January 22 at Elliott Mortuary Chapel. The Elder James Bowles will officiate. There will be no visitation.
