Vivian Delores Brown Baity completed her life’s journey on August 23, 2022.
Mrs. Baity was a native of Cuthbert, Georgia and the daughter of the late Thomas and Viola Brown. She was the Director of Nursing at Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, AL. She enjoyed gardening, walking in the park, writing poetry, traveling, and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Donna Michelle Clay-Darden; a grandson Anthony Jones; a brother Thomas Brown Sr.; and two sisters Gladys Davis and Gloria Davis.
With a cherished legacy of beautiful memories, she leaves her husband Larry Baity; her son Darryl Clay (Monique); her daughter Joyce Davis Stokes; her granddaughters--Yolanda Pugh (Shedrick), Rachel Jones, Mariah Mays, Brannon-Delora Clay and Channing Elizabeth Darden; her grandsons--Jason Stokes, Keyhun Kennedy, and Christopher Mays; her great-grandchildren--Jasmine Pugh, Christopher Pugh, Addisyn Stokes, Anthony Cayden Jones, Dylan Jones, Luca Walton, Hendrix Mays, Kai Walton and Shalil Walton; her sisters--Elizabeth Brown McKissick (Jimmie), Joyce Brown Jett, and Sheridan Brown Albert (Gregory); her sisters-in-law--Cynthia M. Crenshaw (Jasper), Patricia A. Weathers (Sidney), and Kathy Y. King (Michael); her brothers-in-law--William P. Baity, Benjamin H. Baity (Vikki) and Gregory A. Baity (Judy); her nieces--Patrice McKissick Finney (Jerome), LaTanja McKissick Harris, Vila-Sheree Watson (Paul), and Phylicia Jett Davis; her nephews--Philip J. Jett, Jr., Christopher E. Jett, and Sean Q. Jett, her fifteen grand nieces and nephews, her five great-grand nieces and nephews, seven first cousins, her god-daughters Dr. Kim Cliett Long and Irene Monroe Tucker, her beloved childhood friend, Ruby D. Mayes, her devoted friend, Gracie F. Monroe (Donald), and many other relatives, extended family and friends.
Funeral Service will be 12:30 P.M, Thursday, September 1, 2022 , at Louisville First Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Louisville, KY, with Pastor Chris Buttery officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville, IN.
Visitation will be from 11:30 A.M.- 12:30 P.M, Thursday, September 1, 2022, at Louisville First Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
