Timothy Leon Cox, age 53, of Earlington, entered eternal rest at 6:08 a.m. Sunday April 15, 2018 at his home. Born October 24, 1964 in Madisonville he was the son of Lucy Edwards Cox, and the late Charles Ernest Cox Jr. He was a member of Gough Tabernacle A.M.E. Zion Church in Earlington where he served as a bus driver. He was a graduate of South Hopkins High School and a U.S. Army Veteran. Timothy loved family. He loved his kids and grandchildren. His passion was working on cars. He also was preceded in death in by his wife, Retha White Cox who died in 2013. He leaves behind to cherish loving memories his mother Lucy Edwards Cox of Earlington; two sons, Teron Cox and Greg Matchem both of Earlington; one brother, Anthony Lee Cox of Vine Grove,Ky.; 11 grandchildren; several aunts and uncles; several nieces and nephews; and a host of cousins and friends. His life will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. Saturday April 21, 2018 at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Earlington. The Rev. Terrance Minor will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Earlington. Visitation and wake services will be from 12:00 p.m. until service time Saturday April 21, 2018 at the church. A Celebration of Life DVD will be shown.
